Over the past 1300 years, India faced multiple invasions, first by Islamic rulers and later by the British. Despite the challenges, countless Indian warriors, both men and women, displayed unwavering bravery and resilience in defense of their motherland. However, these remarkable stories have often been neglected in Indian history textbooks, which tend to focus more on the accomplishments of the invaders. "Saffron Swords" aims to rectify this by presenting 52 inspiring accounts of India's unsung heroes, serving as a tribute to their indomitable spirit and their contribution to the nation's historic legacy. It is the first installment in a series dedicated to unveiling the forgotten heroes of India.
